SPIDER-MAN CLEARS $2B AND STILL TAKES $85M IN WEEKEND FOUR
Deadline reports the 50% fourth-weekend drop matches Avengers: Endgame, and Brand New Day is already Sony's highest-grossing film ever at $2 billion-plus.

🔴 $85 million. That is what Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to take worldwide in its FOURTH weekend, per Deadline.
Domestic share: $35 million. The drop from last frame is 50%, which is exactly where Disney and Marvel's Avengers: Endgame landed at the same point.
The film is already Sony's highest-grossing release ever at $2 billion-plus. Deadline reports it became the fastest movie to cross $800M in North America, doing it in 19 days. Only Star Wars: The Force Awakens has ever passed $900M domestically.
The ceiling above it is thin. Avatar sits at $2.9B, Endgame at $2.79B with a September re-issue still to come. The realistic scalp is China's Ne Zha 2 at $2.27B.
Underneath, the margin story. Blumhouse Atomic Monster's Insidious: Out of the Further cost $18M and is tracking $23M-$27M at 3,303 domestic theaters plus $26M across 64 overseas territories, for a $49M-$53M global opening. Critics have it at 60% fresh.
Deadline notes the franchise has grossed nearly $732M globally, and 2023's The Red Door opened to $33M on its way to $189M worldwide.
Elsewhere this frame: Jason Statham's Mutiny at 2,703 theaters, Anna Faris comedy Spa Weekend at 2,009, and Andrew Garfield's The Magic Faraway Tree, which has already pulled $32M overseas.
