DICK'S, MARVELL AND AMD LEAD MIDDAY MOVERS

🔴 Dick's Sporting Goods, Marvell, AMD and Kura Oncology are among the biggest stock moves at midday.

CNBC reports those names topped its midday movers list, the running check on which stocks are swinging hardest while the session is still live.

Two of the four are semiconductor names. That keeps chips in the middle of the tape yet again, a sector that has driven more index movement than almost anything else this cycle.

One is a retailer. One is a biotech. That spread is the point of a movers list: the market is rarely moving in one direction for one reason.

Worth saying plainly: the size and direction of each move were not in the material available to us, so we are not putting numbers on it. Midday is also not the close. Plenty of the day's biggest movers give it all back before the bell, and plenty double down.

CNBC publishes this list daily, and it is one of the few places retail traders and desk traders read the same thing at the same time.
