BITCOIN JUMPS 23% IN A WEEK, ITS BIGGEST RUN IN THREE YEARS
August is running at roughly 22.7% month to date. Bitcoin's historical average August return is about 0.82%.

🚨 Bitcoin just ran more than 23% in a single week, its biggest weekly move in three years.
Altcoin Buzz reports BTC broke decisively above $77,500, driven by two things at once.
First, a short squeeze. As price ripped higher, leveraged bears were forced to close positions, and those liquidations turned into more buying.
Second, institutional money. Spot Bitcoin ETFs pulled in roughly $1.91 billion in net inflows between August 17 and August 21, with daily inflows peaking at $606.29 million. Total net assets in those funds now sit near $96.07 billion.
📈 The context makes the move louder. Month to date, Bitcoin is up about 22.7%. Its historical average August return is around 0.82%.
That is a reversal from the first half of 2026. January and February were rough. June brought another sell-off that dragged the market back into bearish territory. The recovery started forming in July and accelerated in August.
The structure has changed too. Market analyst Doctor Profit says $71,000 has flipped from resistance into support, which matters if there is a pullback.
Above, traders are watching $78,500 first, then the $80,000 liquidity zone, with $82,000 as the next upside marker.
The question is no longer whether Bitcoin can recover. It is whether there is enough fuel left to take out $80,000.
Do you think BTC clears $80,000 this month, or does it stall out here?
