$5M OF HIS OWN MONEY ON CLEANING DRONES IN DALLAS

Founder Vic Pellicano says the drones are old news. What never existed was the training, the certification and the pre-sold contracts to put them in an operator's hands.

🚨 $5 million of his own money. No outside investors named.

SkyPSI launched today in Dallas-Fort Worth, and according to its announcement on PR Newswire, founder Vic Pellicano is funding the whole thing himself.

The product isn't the drone. Commercial cleaning drones have been washing buildings for a decade. What SkyPSI says it's building is everything around them: training, certification, and the commercial contracts it has already sold.

The model, as described: SkyPSI books the contract. An independent operator gets the drone, the training and the certification. The operator owns the company, the truck, the crew. An FAA-certified pilot runs the machine from the ground.

The number behind the bet: commercial cleaning is heading toward $860 billion by 2034, and the release says robots touch barely 1% of it today.

The founder's résumé is the other half of the pitch. Son of a truck driver, raised in a trailer park outside Chicago. He lost both parents, ended up homeless, lived out of his car. He built Verenia, acquired by Oracle in 2022, then AI drone company Avianna, sold in 2024.

"Machines should take the strain. People should take the profit," Pellicano said in the release.

The geography: Dallas-Fort Worth first, properties within 200 miles of Dallas, then out through the Texas Triangle.

Worth noting — this is a launch announcement from the company itself. No revenue, no contract values and no operator count have been disclosed.

Would you put your name on the door if someone else handed you the contract?
