$1 TRILLION IN SPACEX MARKET VALUE GONE SINCE JUNE
Starlink is the only division in the black: $11.4B of 2025 revenue and $4.4B in operating income, while Starship and AI infrastructure drain the rest.

🔴 More than $1 trillion in market value gone, and the stock is back where it started.
The Motley Fool lays out the SpaceX trade since its Nasdaq debut. Shares came in at $150 in early June and finished day one with a $2.1 trillion market capitalization, instantly among the most valuable companies on earth.
Then gravity. The stock peaked at $225.64 four days after the listing, then slid to as low as $108 by late July. As of Aug. 26 it was changing hands near $138, essentially level with the $135 offering price.
The numbers behind the ride: $18.7 billion of 2025 revenue and a $4.9 billion loss. Connectivity, led by Starlink, brought in $11.4 billion of revenue and $4.4 billion of operating income and was the only segment in the black.
First quarter revenue came in around $4.7 billion against a $4.3 billion net loss. The second quarter was better. Revenue rose 92% year over year to $7.8 billion and the net loss narrowed to $541 million.
Elon Musk has said the company will be worth more than the rest of Earth if it hits its goals. The Motley Fool's writer is unconvinced, describing the claim as a mission statement disguised as a price target and the business as one profitable growth engine, Starlink, with two very expensive call options attached in Starship and AI infrastructure.
Would you hold this one through another drop to $108?
