U.S. STRIKES IRANIAN TARGETS AROUND THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ

The strikes follow a CENTCOM plan Trump had reportedly been weighing: limited hits to stop Iran rebuilding the radar and missile systems that can target ships in the strait.

🚨 Two oil tankers were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz. Hours later, U.S. strikes hit Iranian targets around the same waterway.

CNBC reports that U.S. Central Command announced the new strikes in a social media post on Tuesday, following the attacks on the pair of tankers in the shipping route.

The action did not come out of nowhere. CNBC reports President Donald Trump had been considering a CENTCOM plan for limited attacks, designed to stop Iran from rebuilding radar and missile capabilities that could be used to target ships passing through the strait.

That is the money line. Hormuz is a critical shipping route for crude. Every tanker that transits it is priced on the assumption it will arrive. When that assumption gets tested, the cost of moving oil moves with it, and so does everything downstream of it.

🔴 What is confirmed: CENTCOM says the strikes happened, and they followed attacks on two tankers.

Everything about the wider plan sits in reporting, not in an official announcement.

Does a tanker attack in Hormuz still move oil prices the way it used to, or has the market stopped flinching?
