UN MISSION ALLEGES SCHOOL STRIKE THAT KILLED MORE THAN 150
Investigators say the school itself was the intended point of impact, not collateral damage from a strike on the Revolutionary Guard compound next door.

🔴 More than 150 people were killed in a Tomahawk missile strike on a primary school in the Iranian city of Minab, according to a UN fact-finding mission.
CNBC reports the UN's Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on Iran said Thursday there are "reasonable grounds" to believe U.S. forces "committed the war crime of launching indiscriminate attacks resulting in the loss of life or injury to civilians or damage to civilian objects."
The mission said the school was the intended point of impact. Not an errant strike. Not collateral damage from an attack on the Revolutionary Guard compound next door. Investigators said they found no information indicating the school was being used for military purposes at the time.
A second strike named in the report hit what the mission described as a "clearly identifiable sports complex and residential area," killing 22 civilians.
The same report also charged Iran with human rights violations and "crimes against humanity committed."
Washington rejects the findings. A State Department official said the U.S. gives no credibility to the report and accused the council of pushing "anti-American rhetoric and antisemitism." The Associated Press reported White House spokesperson Anna Kelly said "The only party in this conflict that has committed war crimes is the Iranian regime."
The U.S. withdrew from the UN Human Rights Council by executive order in February 2025.
Meanwhile, a meeting between Gulf Arab nations, the U.S. and Iran could take place around next week's UN General Assembly, per an MS NOW report. The U.S. approved travel for Iran's delegation, under restrictions barring luxury purchases.
