DISNEY SUED OVER ALLEGED ON-SET ASSAULT OF A 14-YEAR-OLD ACTOR

🚨 Disney has been sued by a former child star who says she was 14 when an employee on one of its films assaulted her.

Variety reports that Raquel Lee, known for "The Amanda Show" and "The Proud Family," filed the lawsuit on Friday.

The complaint alleges a middle-aged male employee involved in the filming of the 2001 movie "The Poof Point" groomed, sexually harassed and assaulted her.

It alleges he gave her alcohol, and that assaults happened while the cast was staying in Salt Lake City and on a flight back to California.

The filing claims Disney and director Neal Israel told her to "bond with, get close to, and trust" the employee.

It also alleges Disney "authorized sexual harassment on set," permitting sexualized jokes, commentary, fondling and excessive touching around children, and that no one tried to curb it.

📉 The career piece: the suit says she was "exhausted, often intoxicated, hungover, or vomiting on set," that Disney provided no medical care, and that multiple Disney executives instead called her "out of control" and said she "need[ed] Jesus." It alleges a role in a production after "The Poof Point" was canceled.

Disney declined to comment, per Variety. These are allegations in a civil complaint and have not been proven.

Lee later returned to the franchise on "Proud Family: Louder and Prouder" from 2022-2026, and spoke in the documentary "Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV."

Should studios be legally on the hook for who they put in a room with a child actor?
